Leaving Arches National Park was a bittersweet feeling. We’re so happy we came to see this park, I mean it was absolutely breathtaking…but it was hard leaving during a beautiful sunrise to head north. Today we drove to Bear Lake, UT, where we’ll camp for the night at South Eden campground. We chose to make this a middle point before a big couple of days at Yellowstone!

We got to our campsite at about 2PM, and we’ve been relaxing ever since! Our site is right next to the lake, which is as blue as can be!

The water was cold and refreshing, and it was just what we needed after two days in the desert…crazy how many different microclimates are in one state! We threw around the Frisbee in the water and picked up a couple cool rocks on the beach to put in our planters back home. Today was the perfect day for some rest and relaxation, and we feel so ready for the next six nights of camping at Yellowstone, Glacier, and Mt. Rainer National Parks!!!

As I was making our bed in the tent, and as Joey was making our dinner, he looks over to me and said, “I just realized that we’re living the life!” I couldn’t agree more, this adventure that we’re on has been so amazing and I really couldn’t be any more perfect thus far. We’re both very happy campers tonight.
